It’s Friday. (More than) half the country is in a funk. Thanksgiving is next week. Work is crazy. So, instead of obsessing over politics or reading another essay about how to hack your way to greatness, I thought I’d just go light today and run down a list of my favorites.
The editors over at Medium asked me to partake in an online conversation series with several writers that I admire about the exploitation of March Madness.
There have been approximately a quadrillion articles devoted to the Fab Five of Michigan – interviews, reviews, praises, critiques, “should haves,” complaints, and memoirs – so I would rather devote my time to a cause I find far more interesting: Chris Webber’s case for inclusion in The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
I feel like I’ve always fallen outside of the mainstream. Even as a child, I knew that many of my tastes were not in line with the majority. Often, my opinion is the unpopular one.
How different would the Association had looked if different decisions had been made?
