I’m already done with summer.
That’s not true. Summer is great. I’m excited for vacations and backyard get-togethers and everything else, but I’m done with the excessive heat. Even with all of the windows open and the fan going, it’s been hot and sticky the past few nights.
And it’s just beginning.
At least in the winter you can bundle up, light a fire, and drink some hot toddy. But in the summer? You strip down to your underoos and still don’t feel any relief.
I can’t wait for snow.
Here’s what I wrote this week:
“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness?”
– John Steinbeck
