I realized something this week.
In February, I published a book. Very few people bought it. I then wrote a piece about that experience that became the most widely read thing I’ve ever written by far. It went to Business Insider and Reddit (where it was ripped to shreds, of course) and was the top story on Medium for a day. It exposed me and my writing to an entirely new and wide-ranging audience.
In September, I published another book. Even fewer people bought that one.
Life works that way sometimes. Still, we keep swimming.
