Will the machines take over?
A common fear among people as we sprint into the future is that we will be overrun by machines, like in The Terminator and The Matrix, or even simply forced to rely on them.
One of the areas in which machines have made the most progress is the world of chess and this documentary from 2003 analyzes the time Gary Kasparov, the fifteen time World Chess Champion, played against the IBM-created supercomputer Deep Blue.
It’s a fascinating documentary on its own and becomes even more interesting when considering where we were then and where we are now (and where we’re going).
